With ever increasing power output of motorcycle engines, clutches are being subjected to ever increasing stresses. Many motorcycles are tuned to a higher horsepower after production further increasing the demands on clutches. EBC Brakes has been involved with the clutch market for over 20 years with its famous DRC series, SRC series and CK series clutches and now gives you the SRK kit; the street racer clutch kit. The SRK series includes a full engine set of Kevlar lined friction plates, heavy duty clutch springs of either the coil spring or diaphragm type, together with a full engine set of steel separator plates.
A critical part for rebuilding the clutch is to get back to the exact stack height of the original assembly and merely replacing the friction plates does not often achieve this accurately, especially when separator plates have been worn. The SRK kit overcomes this problem by completely resetting the vehicles clutch stack height to OEM specifications for the best feel at the lever and consistent clutch performance.
As a world first, EBC Brakes has engineered its own range of increased pressure heavy duty diaphragm clutch springs to replace tired or worn original units and these are included as part of the SRK kit. New SRK complete kits include Kevlar fiber lined friction plates, steel separator plates and springs to provide a street going kit for high performance street and road race use. Some of the kits will now feature new diaphragm springs as used in many larger new bikes to provide a complete clutch rebuild kit for every sport bike possible.
